GREEN ENERGY

Green energy refers to energy that is produced from renewable, sustainable sources that have minimal impact on the environment. Unlike fossil fuels, which are finite and produce harmful emissions when burned, green energy sources generate power without depleting natural resources or causing significant pollution. Some common types of green energy include:

Solar Energy: Solar power is generated by harnessing sunlight through photovoltaic cells or solar panels. Solar energy is abundant and clean, making it one of the most popular forms of renewable energy.

Wind Energy: Wind turbines convert the kinetic energy of the wind into electricity. Wind power is a rapidly growing source of green energy, especially in areas with strong and consistent winds.

Hydroelectric Power: Hydroelectric power is generated by harnessing the energy of flowing water, typically by building dams or diverting water through turbines. Hydroelectric plants can provide reliable and consistent energy, although they can have environmental impacts on local ecosystems.

Biomass Energy: Biomass energy is produced from organic materials such as wood, agricultural residues, and organic waste. These materials are burned or converted into biofuels to generate heat, electricity, or fuel for vehicles.

Geothermal Energy: Geothermal energy is derived from heat stored beneath the Earth's surface. Geothermal power plants use steam or hot water from underground reservoirs to generate electricity and heat buildings.
